TIME OUT "If you appreciate style, do not miss Mr. and Mrs. Bridge." DAILY MAIL From the makers of "A Room With A View", "Mr. & Mrs. Bridge is a powerful and moving film featuring outstanding performances from Oscar winning husband and wife team Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. In 1917 Walter Bridge (Newman), an aspiring lawyer, returns from the Great War in Europe and marries his fiancee India (Woodward) in Kansas City. The family lives under the dictatorial values of Mr. Bridge who rules the household with an iron fist. As the children - Kyra Sedgewick (Born On The Fourth July), Robert Sean Leonard (Dead Poets Society), Margaret Walsh (Next of Kin)-grow older, Walter's insensitivity prevents him from expressing his love. It is only when Walter discovers he has a critical heart disease that he realises how much he loves his family and how little he has shown it. Mr. & Mrs. Bridge is a warm, humorous and touching drama about family staying together against the odds. © Cineplex Films
