UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho", Bates Motel is a tale of the supernatural close to the feel of the Master's original. Norman's legacy was befreinding Alex West (BUD CORT) an abused and lonely child, who reminded Norman of himself as a young boy, and wanted him to have a second chance in life. Together over 27yrs in the sanitarium they form unbreakable bond and Norman bequeathes the Bates Motel to Alex.
Alone and a stranger to his new world, Alex and the urn containing Norman's ashes, settle into their new home. The dilapidated motel is caught in a time long gone as it sits between a shopping mall and a food restaurant. Alex soon befriends and hires a handyman (MOSES GUNN) and persuades a street-wise girl (LORI PETTY) to stay on as a cook. Unfortunately Alex is haunted by the image of Mrs Bates, rocking and scolding from the window, and the threat of repossession is ever present if he cannot repay his $10,000 loan on the opening day.
