The last of it's kind, the huge Babylon 5 space station is the last, best hope for victory for an alliance of the galaxy's leading races against an ancient evil. NO SURRENDER, NO RETREAT The fight to take back Earth starts here. The fascist Earth Gov. has blockaded Proxima 3, a neutral world, and is destroying any vessel attempting to break the blockade. Sheridan personally leads a massive Alliance fleet to Proxima, and for the first time Babylon 5 forces engage Earth Gov. forces in savage combat. Meanwhile, Londo wants G'Kar to request that the Narn government issue a joint statement with the Centauri in support of Sheridan, which would inspire other worlds to uphold Sheridan's cause. G'Kar bitterly rejects such an unprecedented alliance between the long-time enemies, but should he let hatred rule his heart? THE EXERCISE OF VITAL POWERS Garabaldi starts his self-imposed exile on Mars by meeting Wiliam Edgars, billionaire owner of a powerful medical technology corporation. Garibaldi wants to stop corrupt Earth Force President Clark without military action, and so reluctantly agrees to betray Sheridan to Edgars. Meanwhile, Franklin tries in vain to delicately seperate a group of unconscious human telepaths from complex, implanted Shadow technology. When Sheridan finally tells Franklin about the astonishing secret plan of his, Franklin reveals to Lyta that they must go to Mars immediately with a special cargo. © PTN Consortium
