SALLY KELLERMAN (Back to School), CHARLES GRODIN (The Woman in Red), KIRSTY McNICHOL (Only When I Laugh), DAVID LEISURE and SCOTT McGINNIS all lend a hand when brilliant young newcomer DAVID PACKER (Eddie) leaves the backwoods of Ohio and moves to L.A. to stay with his hustling cousin, Skip.

The only way to be successful in L.A. is if you pretend to be someone else, Skip tells him. And, armed with numerous guises, the loverlorn Eddie heads for the dating agency in search of success in the frm of love.
