Join John Candy for a holiday in hilarity! Summer Rental is an hilarious comedy starring John Candy as Jack Chester; a harassed air traffic controller heading for a nervous breakdown. When his supervisor insists that Jack takes a five week vacation, the Chesters head for Citrus Cove, Florida. Here everything gets hotly mixed up as Jack makes enemies with the local sailing hero (Richard Crenna), takes possession of the wrong apartment, gets sunburnt and generally causes chaos whatever he does. It is not until he befriends Scully, a one armed pirate (Rip Torn) who teaches him to sail, that Jack finally regains some of his self esteem.
