RICHARD WIDMARK AND OLIVER REED IN SEARCH OF ASSASSINS...A DEADLY GAME NO ONE CAN WIN
Sam Lucas (Richard Widmark) is a CIA agent who left the service when his protege and friend Gabriel (Oliver Reed) proved to be a double-agent and defected to Moscow. Now Sam lives in retirement in Jerusalem with Deborah (Gayle Hunnicutt), a beautiful young American who was once Gabriel's mistress. A decision, however, by American and Russian intelligence forces to lure back to Israel in order to eliminate him, causes a major upheavel in Sam's ordered life, the past, with its loyalties and betrayals, suddenly and violently impinging on the present.
An attempt by a pair of assassins to eliminate Gabriel fails and a hired gunman called the Dutchman is put on the trail. On the run and desperate, Gabriel contacts his former friend Sam. Once again the two agents team up, their only purpose being to find the Dutchman and kill him. It is their very last assignment together, and neither man will forget it. . .
