Harry doesn't play by the rules Harry plays to win! To Harry, life is just a game... Everyone wants to be a winner. Harry "Flash" Gorden (Bob Geldof) is no exception. Living in a small world of small-time crooks, corrupt cops and hookers, Harry finds the only way to survive is to deal himself into the occassional back room poker game, or better still, to hustle some unsuspecting sucker into losing a game of snooker. Harry's philosophy is that something will always turn up, and it does...in the form of crooked bookie Billy Evans (Mel Smith) and his heavy, Mike the Throat (PH Moriarty). Evans offers Flash a way into the big-money snooker circuit guaranteeing him easy money, and women and fame providing he plays the game right and that means Billy Evans' way. When he finds himself confronted with the chance to be World Champion, Harry faces the decision of his life, either way the stakes are high. © Stageforum Production
