Not Without My Daughter

This true story portrays the horrifying experience of Betty Mahmoody who was persuaded to visit the family of her husband, Moody, in Iran where the fall of the Shah had given way to the rise of the Ayatollah and a resurgence of religious fanaticism. Family pressure soon forces Moody to re-embrace Islam and he refuses to allow Betty and their beloved daughter Mahtob to return to the United States.
