The Lady in Red

1926: An innocent country girl, growing up in a small town in the midwest, has dreams of becoming a dancer and escaping her father, a religious maniac. Polly goes into town (and) gets caught up in a bank robbery and taken hostage. When her father sees her again he beats her and forces her to leave. Polly (Pamela Sue Martin) heads for Chicago, in search of fame and fortune - only to find corruption and depravity. Caught up in a web of vice and violence with the infamous John Dillinger, the country girl soon finds out, the hard way, that survival on the streets is no easy task.
