Hunger, The
MGM/UA

Sleeve Sypnosis:
Catherine Deneuve stars as an immortal 4000 year old vampire living in Manhattan with her current lover, David Bowie, where they survive in spendid isolation on a diet of human blood. But Bowie, seduced by Deneuve in 18th Century England is not immortal and in one of the films most striking sequences, he ages 300 years in a single afternoon. Deneuve seeking help to 'cure' him turns to Susan Sarandon, a doctor engaged in research into ways of halting the ageing process. Sarandon however, is then initiated by Deneuve into the perverse delights of vampirism and eternal life and the film builds up to a spine-chilling climax of escalating terror.
