Best Shot

Norman Dale's arrival in the sleepy farming community of Hickory is greeted with hostility and suspicion. Dale (Gene Hackman), a former top college basketball coach, causes outrage with his plans for the local heroes, the school basketball team. With only two allies on his side - school principal Cletus Summers (Sheb Woolley) and Shooter (Dennis Hooper), an ex - basketball star and now the town drunk, Dale sets out to turn the team into winning legends.
